Erie's iconic flagship U.S. Brig Niagara is now on its top shape and ready for future engagements. I recently underwent several days of extensive maintenance done by crew of Great Lakes Towing Co. Like any proper maintenance, the ship was lifted of the water exposing parts that are normally submerged in water. The inspection and maintenance was part of the requirements for the Niagara as a sailing school vessel under U.S. Coast Guard.
