    Erir County opens warming station

    01/18/09 05:17
It is no secret that it has been pretty colder these days than during the same period last year. I am not sure why--but I am sure scientists will debate about it--this is happening, but a sudden drop in temperature is certainly not good for everybody, especially because not everyone has a heater at home.

In line with this, Erie County in Pennsylvania opened the Mental Health Association building as a warming center to help people pass through the night.

    Door dispute issue resolved

    01/16/09 14:07
Lack of budget for security personnel led to the sheriff of the Erie county to close the county courthouse's secondary entrance. This has caused a dispute between the Erie sheriff and county executive Mark DiVecchio.

The dispute is now resolved by deciding to open the secondary door during selected hours of the day
